"Are you willing to forget what you have done for other people, and to remember what other people have done for you ... to remember the weakness and loneliness of people who are growing old... Are you willing to believe that love is the strongest thing in the world...stronger than hate, stronger than evil, stronger than death...Then you can keep Christmas! But you can never keep it alone.~Henry van Dyke"

Oil Painting

Has not been doing photography for a long time, ever since I started my class. My schedule? Monday to Friday working, Friday to Sunday classes with loads of assignments and presentations....but I love the things I am doing. Really enjoy it; no doubt deep inside been missing someone more lately :(....it's alright, I can handle it.

I just can't stop myself from doing something, I am now into painting (more to abstract). It's fun and exciting seeing the result :)....but there still lots more to learn and to explore. This is one of the best thing to do when my time is limited to let me explore the nature (photography).

To my relief, I am not that bad though....hehehe start praising myself again. Well, so far I am happy with my work. It's amazing to see myself doing something I left behind many years ago. Something I don't understand, what made me left my passions behind? But it does not matter anymore.....

Seasons Greetings

This Christmas card specially made for a friend. It's a nice feeling meeting an old friends, I thought I would never see my childhood friends but by God's grace we met up last year during my cousin's wedding. Wow, after 20 years we are in contact again, she never change, still sweet and beautiful.

For this card; I use green, silver and red ribbons, whereas for the angels and maple leaves I use the decorative punches. I added some colours and glitters on the maple leaves, I choose glitter paper for the angels where you can get from the craft or stationary shops.

Oil Painting

Happy Sunday. What a beautiful morning? Birds chirping, calm weather, fresh morning air......hmmmm. Miss my hometown, miss someone I love dearly & miss everyone dear to me....Not to forget miss the Street Fair (Gaya Street) which held in Kota Kinabalu every Sunday, many interesting things can be found there such as pearls, orchids, pets, accessories, foods, antiques etc...the morning wet market, I can imagine the crowds, the fishing boats coming back from the sea with their fresh catches as early as 4:00am. Watching the sunrise and the glimpse of Mount Kinabalu, the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park comprising Gaya Island, Sapi Island, Manukan Island, Mamutik Island and Sulug Island where I can spend the whole day hopping from one island to another, it only takes about 10-20 minutes by speedboat ride from the city of Kota Kinabalu, where you can enjoy the shallow waters, the beautiful coral gardens or just lay down on the white sandy beaches. Miss those days.
Need to go back to reality now, this is my Sunday post, an oil painting (Lukisan Cat Minyak) before I go for class. Urmmm favourite subjects Arts & Physicals but I don't like presentations, I have presentations for both subjects urrgghh ;p...Have a pleasant day.

Happy weekend to all, another week gone. Holiday mood on the way :)...Just want to share some painting I did few days ago. I have not put any title yet. Selection of colours i.e. silver, yellow and brown. A little bit of red for the marbling background. I love the texture and simplicity of it. Feel free to give title for this painting. Appreciate it.
Have a great week ahead, ciao :)

'Paper Marbling Art or 'Teknik Pualaman' in Malay'. Another crave :-p....I am always interested with new things. Art gives the opportunity to explore and play with the colours and textures, it lets us express ourselves on papers, canvas etc.. This is very exciting and I fell in love with it, a zillion appreciation to my lecturer. There still a long way to go in order to learn the marbling art techniques, looks easy but not as easy as we think. Patience, effort & desire is the main key in order to master the technique.
I love to watch the 'Art of Marbling-Ebru' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z0_b9f9b8s&feature=player_embedded#!) it is wonderful  .....
I believe that everyone can learn & it's never too late,  knowledge has no age barrier & nothing is impossible unless we give up.
Famous quote says: It is not how much you do, but how much love you put into the doing that matters. ~ Mother Teresa

The above pieces is specially made for someone I care & dear to me.
Will post more soon :)

Undisturb

Been running around these few days, catching up with work, class, presentations, making cards for friends and relatives & last but not least SHOPPING around.....fuhhhh :) but loving it this way. This is one of my art assignment using water colour. Haven't been doing any painting for many many years ;) ....i just want to share the fun :)....not so so beautiful painting but it's the effort & the love of doing something that matters.
Wish everyone a good day ahead.
